Mitchell was our rainbow baby following two miscarriages and was named Mitchell because by all definitions, he was our gift from God. He was aptly born just before Christmas, December 15, 2016. Mitchell believed in the magic, presence, and love of the holiday season and carried it with him year-round.
He lived a happy, active life. He was an admirer of nature, an animal expert, a soccer player, a climber of all things, an artist, and a lover of life. He was never without a smile or a timid wave. For more on his character and life, his obituary and service can be found here.
On March 3, 2023, his life tragically ended. The subsequent months were filled with doctors and counselors as we attempted to make sense of his sudden death. We were fortunate to have a community who lifted us up, and supported us in finding a path forward through this foundation. We believe every family deserves support during their darkest days and we promise to hold recipients in our hearts.
